The island of cats

In a previous post I called Cyprus the island of Aphrodite. However, the truth is that Cyprus could easily be called the island of cats. Legend says that Cyprus was gradually overtaken by poisonous snakes therefore, Saint Helen brought to the island cats to minimise the population of snakes.

Centuries later, there are probably more cats rather than humans on the island. I think they are planning to slowly conquer the entire island.

So, since today is apparently the international cat day, here is a collection of cat photos around Cyprus.
