Growing up, depending on our environment, we gain certain stereotypes. Sometimes they are positive and others negative. As a child, I remember seeing England as the country of red. All the pictures of England would show the red buses, the red telephone booths, and the red-brick houses. Although these are indeed very stereotypical when in England, you do see a lot of red.
Personally, I love England’s cosy red-brick houses. In some cases, these houses are over 300 years old, and their styles are just brilliant. In my country, traditionally the houses are relatively small, white with colourful doors and windows. But nowadays we love huge houses with massive spaces that often are rarely used. We are definitely not a minimalistic country. So, for me, the small yet perfect red-brick houses in England are perfect and cute.
